Clocks, pressure, and a living campaign

A small set of tools that make the world move without a script.

A campaign feels alive when the world continues to move beyond the characters' immediate attention. Factions prepare, evidence disappears, negotiations deteriorate, allies lose patience, ships close on their targets, and disturbed Source systems continue trying to correct themselves.

The Game Master does not need to improvise every development from nothing. A small set of tools can turn player choices, delays, failures, and victories into visible campaign movement, without removing player freedom.

GM Principle

Prepare pressures, people, and consequences. Do not prepare a required sequence of player decisions.

Mar de Oro GM Tools

This is the Game Master tool area for Tales of Mar de Oro: session preparation aids, pacing and consequence helpers, clocks, and reference generators you can use at the table. The tools themselves are system-neutral utilities, and they sit alongside campaign material written for the person behind the screen.

Campaign spoiler warning: the material past this point includes faction secrets, hidden truths, and the sequence of events behind the campaign. Reading it as a player will hollow out surprises the setting depends on.
